If you are interested in aerodynamics, this series may be of interest to you, as it has one of the most complete physics-based flight modeling systems out there. One last thing-I don't want to sound like Billy Mays. He only recently stopped updating the original game, released six and half years ago.

However, the modding community has done much to beautify things. The sim is designed to run well on really low end hardware, so the stock terrain and aircraft skins are limited in resolution. Serious question: why are the graphics so bad?
